Wellness Retreat

Slow down enough to savour your life.

If you have immigrant parents who endured significant hardship, you may have internalized these fears: there is never enough and you are not enough. These fears drive your behaviour and choices. To prove your worthiness, you hustle as if your life depended on it.

Resting is not a luxury, but a necessity.

Maybe you feel an insatiable urgency to accomplish one more thing on your to-do list, often at the expense of sleep, food or time with loved ones. Maybe your mind is spinning day and night and you can’t stop amidst the pressure of your nonstop world. Your sense of identity is so tied to your productivity that stopping, resting and enjoying your life may seem like a luxury, not a necessity.

There’s a sacred rhythm of work and rest.

Yet rest is necessary. Your body’s fatigue, aches and pains, and distressing thoughts and emotions have been trying to tell you for a while now. There are predictable consequences to violating the sacred rhythm of work and rest.

Come away to our 5-day guided wellness retreat and get the body and soul care you’ve been longing for.

This retreat will give you to tools to create the sustainable, grounded and joyful life that you long for. Here, you’ll experience slowness, intentionality and space to overcome the emotional blocks associated with survival mode, so that you can become a better parent, partner, friend and leader.

Everyone benefits when you stop and enjoy your life.

When you’re able to slow down enough to take inventory of your life, align your actions with your values, and resolve old emotions, you’ll be able to enjoy your life again. When that happens, everyone benefits.

Upon arrival, you’ll be served a soothing cup of oat straw tea, which has amazing effects for your mood, sleep and digestion.

Then sit by the fire, soak in the hot tub, savour mood-boosting culinary offerings that accommodate dietary requirements, enjoy daily wellness classes focused on mind-body healing and receive group wellness coaching on how to live a healthier and more sustainable rhythm of life - mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We’ll be staying in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, Quebec, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Saint Lawrence River.

Isn’t it time to allow yourself to slow down and create a life that you savour?

    TRAUMA-INFORMED COACHING

Hi, I’m Frances, your trauma-informed coach. With a background in psychology, I use somatic and experiential approaches to reconnect you to the wisdom of your body and emotions so that you can create a joyful and sustainable life. By the end of your journey here, you will feel rested, energized, balanced, and equipped with the tools to calm your overactive nervous system and resolve old emotions. The interactive wellness coaching sessions will help you address any mindset blocks to regular self-care, and provide practical strategies to help you to listen to and care for your spirit, soul and body on a day-to-day basis.

In order to help you make lasting changes, wellness coaching occurs over a period of three months. The retreat package includes 10 hours of trauma-informed coaching to help you transform into a happier and healthier you. We will do this by harnessing the mind-body connection.

Prior to the retreat, you will have one 60-minute group virtual coaching session on October 17, 2023. At the retreat, you will receive 8 hours of in-person wellness coaching. Post-retreat, there is one 60-minute virtual coaching session on November 28, 2023. All virtual coaching pre and post-retreat are at 1:00-2:00 pm ET and will be recorded if you cannot attend live.

Reconnect to the wisdom of your body and emotions so that you can create a joyful and sustainable life.
